[Defconapi] Problem building SimpleBot

Hi,

 

I have a problem getting Defcon to work with my ai bot .dll. I am using
Visual Studio 2003 to compile the source code from SimpleBot. The .dll it
creates is actually smaller than the simplebot.dll included in the download
package - not sure if this is significant or not, but it is definitely not
compiling exactly the same .dll. I have all my options for the Visual Studio
project set as required. Two other ai bots I have tested work seemingly
correctly (at least they don't make Defcon crash), they are the already
compiled simplebot.dll and ivai.dll.

 

When I load my bot Defcon crashes back to Windows. I have traced through in
Visual Studio and it is in Bot::Initialise when the line
m_game->SendChatMessage("/name [Bot]TestBot", CHATCHANNEL_PUBLIC); is
executed.

 

Does anyone have any clues as to what is going wrong?
