[Defconapi] Linux API?

Hi there, list.

I hate to be a nag, but I'd really love to see a Linux API for DEFCON bots -
I think a bot would be a great project to fill my time on the train on the
way to uni, but I haven't loaded Windows on my laptop and don't plan to.

I don't care which languages are compatible - Ruby, Perl or Python would be
excellent, but I'd be fine with C++ or Lua.

Is there any news on whether a Linux version is in development or planned?
